No School - Total Solar Eclipse

The district will be closed Monday, April 8, 2024. As you may know, there will be a total solar eclipse on this day and, beginning around 3:14pm, the sun will be completely blocked by the moon.

Lake County is one of the best areas to experience this event and our population is expected to increase significantly during this time due to visitors attempting to get the best view. This could cause a large increase in local traffic during the day, making travel difficult and creating hazardous conditions for drivers. The safety of our students and staff is our number one priority, and as such, we will be closing the district on Monday, April 8, 2024.
