The Lake County Health District is looking for students interested in working to prevent mosquito and tick-borne illnesses as well as participating in the rabies program.
This hiring fair is designed for high school seniors who plan to go straight into employment after graduation. Employers will have the opportunity to interact with high school seniors seeking immediate employment. The hiring fair will be open house style from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM on April 30, 2024 located at the Holiday Inn - Rockside.

Perry Township is looking for a seasonal team member to work with their Service Department. A large part of the job will include working with a crew to conduct mowing and weed whacking of Township owned properties. Water Technician Internship (Seasonal)
Starting Date: MAY 1, 2024
Hourly Rate: $10.50-17.00 (based on experience)
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm, up to 40 hours per week; flexible schedule depending on availability
Type of Work: Indoor/Outdoor GIS data collection, clerical, records retention, light maintenance
Work Responsibilities:
- Water Technician tasks; technical work involving Geographic Information System (GIS)
- Prepare and maintain reports in excel and other formats
- Transport, sort, compile, and identify records for records retention and historical value
- Perform GIS data collection and procurement of field data
- GIS Training provided
- Light maintenance/ housekeeping tasks
Requirements:
- Willing to perform clerical work and physical labor
- Ability to work well with others and general public
- Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License
- Some experience working with computers, GIS/GPS a plus
- Experience with basic business purchasing/ receiving principles

The Lake County Captains is seeking seasonal employees to provide outstanding customer service and assist in creating a fun-filled atmosphere at Classic Park throughout our 66-game baseball season. Positions Available & Application.
Part-time Openings: Cashier, Stock Clerk, and Sales Associate
Duties: CASHIERS need to be able to cheerfully check out customers and perform some light cleaning. STOCK CLERKS need to be able to stock shelves, assist customers that need advice and help find what they need. Carry purchases out to cars, fill propane bottles and keep the store in a neat and clean condition.
Requirements: 16 years old, friendly and nice personality, have transportation to and from the store. Able to work at least 2 evenings a week from 4pm-8pm and 6-8 hours every Saturday or Sunday while school is in session. Additional hours will be available during summer.
Pay: $11.00/hour for 3-month probationary period, $100.00 bonus and $.50 raise when completed. Yearly bonus along with annual raise to follow. Always looking for future full-time staff that would like to grow with us.

SUMMER HELP
District Cleaning
Job Title: Summer Help - District Cleaning
Days/Hours: June 3 - August 2, 2024 / Monday - Friday / 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Compensation: $11.50/hr. or as agreed to by OAPSE #367 negotiated agreement
Job Summary:
Duties include indoor and outdoor work, but are not limited to washing and cleaning desks, tables, chairs, cabinets, windows, white boards, walls, baseboards, doors, and moving boxes. There is a minimum expectation that the employee can lift and carry 30 lbs.
The job will provide for flexible shifts and hours. There is no guarantee of a predetermined schedule of number of hours. Please note the intended hours are 6:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Monday – Friday, but hours are subject to change.
A 30-minute unpaid lunch will be scheduled.
The District intends on employing individuals to serve on a crew at each school building, the PAC, Tarbuck, Manchester West, and Transportation. Priority will be given to current employees of the District currently serving in 9 or 10 month positions or candidates that have previous, successful experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 16 years of age
- Valid driver's license
- Able to perform manual labor
