Perry PSL Student Names as Footprint's 2026 Award of Honor Recipient

Posted Date: 03/19/26 (12:51 PM)

Samantha has been named a  2026 Award of Honor recipient by The Footprints Center for Autism. This recognition is given each year to someone who goes above and beyond in support of their mission. While Samantha's involvement began through the Perry Service Learning program, what has stood out most is the way she consistently choose to give her time beyond what is required.

Samantha's impact reaches far beyond one role. She supported their students directly in the classroom, while also taking initiative behind the scenes — helping with administrative projects like preparing mailings, creating graphics for social media, and assisting with donation outreach. Her leadership in helping coordinate A Walk in Their Shoes, including organizing graphics, materials, and t-shirt design, made a meaningful difference in the success of that event.

Samantha nominated Footprints for grant opportunities like Magnified Giving and helped identify ways they can strengthen their presence on nonprofit platforms.

Samantha will be honored at this year’s A Blue Carpet Affair, where she will be formally recognized and presented with the Award of Honor.

Event details and tickets can be found at https://footprintscenterforautism.com/abca2026/.

Congratulations, Samantha!
