Jennifer is a lifelong educator, coach and public servant.  She was raised by her grandparents to always serve your community which was echoed thru her Catholic school education k-12 in the Diocese of Youngstown.  She originally pursued a career in environmental law however after years of coaching basketball and speech and debate she pivoted to her true passion of education with her English & History bachelors degree from Youngstown State University in May 2004.

After college she pursued public speaking and educational career opportunities in middle school classrooms (4th-9th grade) outside of Ohio and returned to the west side of Cleveland in July 2006 for a position with The Department of Veterans Affairs.  This position has allowed Jennifer to serve our nation’s veterans, their dependents and survivors in numerous varying capacities as outreach specialist, claims representative, national training consultant, overseas military briefing specialist, national exam management liaison with contract examiners as well as national service officers training & VBA core staff training.  For the last 14 years she has held a senior quality assurance role for curriculum, instruction and quality management which combines her passion for education and the public service instilled in her as a young child.

She and her husband Daniel moved to Perry in August 2015 when they were expecting their twins Deklan & Tristan as they wanted a small community with a world class educational experience.  Daniel, a local relator and woodwork enthusiast shares Jenn’s passion for this community and has supported thru McGrega Designs, as an active Perry and Lake county substitute teacher, Mighty Mites & year round soccer coach with Madison Rec Soccer League; all to advocate for the health and well being of the younger generation. The twins and their younger brother Connor all currently attend Perry Elementary school where they are proud Mighty Mites wrestlers and indoor, spring and fall soccer fiends.

Jennifer has served as a Madison Rec Soccer League coach for six seasons, an avid dog rescue member with ARC of Eastlake and before moving to the east side the Cuyahoga Sweet Valley rescue, a Mighty Mites mom/photographer, a Perry REC boys basketball coach, PAJRD Vice President in 2025 where she spearheaded a new initiative for a used sporting equipment drive and partnered with the districts’ Thriving Threads, Fall Festival Committee member 2024 & 2025, Friend of the Perry library, Perry Foundation Board member, Perry Women’s League member and a Cubs Committee & Cubs Den leader for the Perry Cubs Scout #3071 pack.

In her spare time she enjoys family & travel photography, settling in with a great book, touring a museum or testing a new recipe.  She and her family also advocate for shelter pets, working with the mantra “adopt don’t shop” and the importance of second chances with City Dogs Cleveland and their most recent rescue family member Teddy Lasso.
