**Parental permission is required for ALL donations by students 16-year-old
Day of donation:

• Eat breakfast and drink plenty of fluids before donating. Bring a photo ID.
• Students will be provided with refreshments & snacks following donations.
• Student athletes should not do any heavy lifting or vigorous exercise following donations.
• Students can save time with RapidPass by completing your pre-donation reading/health history at RedCrossBlood.org/RapidPass before your appointment.

**Power Red Donation Process: blood is separated from your red blood cells, then participants are safely and comfortably given back the plasma and platelet.

• Power Red donation: O negative, O positive, A or B negative.
• Recommended: Females giving Power Red should wait until age 19 or older to donate Power Red.

The following requirements apply for those interested in Power Red donation: 
Female: 5’ 5” weighing 150 lbs.
Males: 5’ 1” weighing 130 lbs.
