This week, we’re proud to highlight two of our outstanding interns who are gaining valuable hands-on experience at University Hospitals Geneva. Both Alexis and Madeline are certified nursing assistants who completed their training through the Lakeland Community College CNA program offered here at Perry.
 
Now interning at the hospital, they are exploring what it’s like to work in a healthcare setting on a regular basis and considering whether this path is right for their futures.
 
They’ve mastered how to clean and restock patient rooms and are confident navigating the hospital as they assist with patient transport. 

Throughout their internship, they’ve built meaningful connections with professionals in departments such as ICU, Imaging, and the ER. It’s inspiring to see these students explore their interests, discover their strengths, and begin carving out their own unique paths in the healthcare field.
