Adapting and Improving

As we reflect back on another successful academic year, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for the unwavering support and dedication from our staff and school community. Together, we have navigated through some challenges and accomplished remarkable feats.

In the spirit of progress and innovation, we continue to explore new opportunities to enhance the personalized educational experience for each of our students. Our dedicated educators have been working diligently to develop a robust curriculum that aligns with the evolving needs of our students and prepares them for success in the future.

As an educational institution, we continuously strive to adapt and improve in all areas. Staffing changes for next year have been made after careful consideration and with the best interests of our students at heart.  Specifically, PES will have a new leadership team: Amy Stavar as principal (2022-23 PMS assistant principal) and Ashley Pavicic as assistant principal (2007-23 Spanish Teacher).  Jim Chisholm (PES Principal 2022-23) will transition into the Director of Student Services position and Coni Steverding (PES Dean of Students 2018-2023) will serve as our Director of Growth and Development. Our new assistant principal at PMS will be Bob Gecewich (previously District SEL Student Success Specialist). New hire, Ross Martin will teach high school social studies and we will be hiring a new intervention specialist. We will continue to do all we can to ensure their educational experience is enriched and that students and staff receive the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

We also recognize the ongoing importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive community. The promotion of mental well-being, empathy, and respect among our students and staff remains a priority. Our aim is to create an environment where all students and staff feel valued, celebrated, and empowered to reach their full potential.  I feel strongly about our success in this area having witnessed extraordinary acts of kindness and support, within our school community.

Our incredible students are committed to learning and becoming better every day. I am so proud of each of them and have no doubt that their experiences at Perry Schools will shape them into strong and compassionate individuals. I’d like to thank our parents and guardians for their unwavering support and trust. Our school community is built upon the collaborative efforts of each and every one of us. Together, we will continue to foster a culture of excellence, compassion, and lifelong learning.

As we enter into this summer, I encourage all of you to take some time to rest, rejuvenate, and enjoy a well-deserved break. Whether you plan to embark on exciting adventures, spend quality time with loved ones, or simply relax, I wish you a summer filled with joy, happiness, and memorable experiences.

Please stay tuned for further updates throughout the summer, as we will be sharing important information regarding school reopening plans, schedules, and any additional measures in place to ensure the well-being of our students and staff.

Remember, the bonds we have forged and the lessons we have learned will continue to guide us as we move forward. We remain committed to providing a safe and nurturing learning environment that fosters growth, academic excellence, and the well-rounded development of our students.
