A Message from the Superintendent

Please join us for a “Securing Our Future” Celebration on Sunday, July 28th at 4 p.m. at Perry High School’s Goodwin Theatre.

With the passage of HB 6, residents of Perry, Lake County, and employees of the Perry Nuclear Power Plant are breathing a momentary sigh of relief.

Now that the immediate future of the community is more secure, we are excited to host a celebration planned with Lake County Commissioner Jerry Cirino to show our gratitude for everyone’s support.  Several elected officials will be featured speakers, including Congressman Dave Joyce and Senate President Larry Obhof.  We anticipate Goodwin Theatre will be packed with PNPP employees and members of Perry and surrounding communities ready to demonstrate their appreciation and celebrate the passing of HB 6.

“This new law, to protect our Ohio nuclear plants, is the result of efforts on the part of many”, notes Commissioner Cirino.  “Elected officials at federal, state, and local levels all worked on a bipartisan basis to get this law into place”.

While this is a big day for all of us, the work must continue to ensure Perry continues to enjoy financial stability.  With that said, let’s take time on Sunday to enjoy this moment and thank all those that have worked so hard to make it a reality.

The “Securing Our Future” event is open to the public and I am encouraging Perry staff and their families to attend.  Hope to see you there!
