Patrick M. Sferra, Class of 1980
Pat Sferra, age 54 of Perry Township, passed away October 30, 2016 at Trident Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina. He was born July 30, 1962 in Painesville and was a 1980 graduate of Perry High School. Pat worked for the Allega Companies for five years. Prior to that he had worked for Bentley Excavating, CJ Natalie Incorporated, DiGioia-Suburban Excavating and the Cleveland Group. His hobbies included jetsking, snowmobiling, flying, racing, playing his drums and strumming his guitar. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, working in his barn on his old Ford truck, working on projects around his property, listening to old rock music and vacationing to the ocean in Avalon, New Jersey with his family. Survivors are his wife of 28 years, Mary Grace (nee Lagania) Sferra (Class of 1981); children, Hannah and Nicholas Sferra; mother, Noel (LaMont) Sferra; siblings, Stephanie (Ryan) Head, Kelly (Matt) Farrell, Stephanie (Ed) Zitney and Theodore (Traci) Sferra; uncle, Richard (Barbara) LaMont and his cousin, Kimberly (Doug) Huntley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Sferra. In memory of Pat and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
