Message from the Superintendent - 9/10/20

We are excited to announce that ALL students are now eligible to receive standard school breakfasts and lunches FREE OF CHARGE through December 22, 2020!

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has provided an unprecedented amount of flexibility to help schools feed children throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently, the USDA announced that monies have been made available that allow for all Perry Local Schools’ students to receive free breakfast and lunch, regardless of their financial situation. This extension will help ensure students have access to nutritious food as our country recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic. For questions regarding free breakfast and lunch, please contact Perry’s Director of Food Services, Vicki Peters RD/LD at 440-259-9300 ext. 9349.

Free breakfasts and lunches for in-person learners will begin Friday, 9/11/20. A la carte items will still be available for purchase.

For families of remote-learners, free breakfasts and lunches will be available beginning Tuesday, 9/15/2020.  You will be able to pick up 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches once a week.  You will need to register with the Food Service Department prior to pick up.  Please e-mail Vicki Peters at [email protected] and include the following information:

·              Name of Parent
·              Names of Students
·              Contact Number

Families with the last names A-L will pick up on Tuesdays (11:00am-noon)
Families with the last names M-Z will pick up on Wednesdays (11:00am-noon)

Please continue to complete your free and reduced applications since there are benefits tied to those applications.  The free and reduced applications can be accessed on the Perry Food Service website.  On behalf of our Food Service Department and all of Perry Schools, we thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,
Dr. Jack Thompson
