Mary F. Freeman, Perry School Teacher
Mary was born October 22, 1922 in Magdalena, New Mexico and passed away at her residence in Perry Township, January 31, 2017. She was a school teacher for the Perry School System and served in the U. S. Navy. Mary lived a full life. She line danced and taught line dancing at the Perry Senior Center until she was ninety, continuing to dance until fall of 2016. She was a quilter winning first place at the Lake Farm Park 2014 Quilt Show. She wove rugs at Perry Christian Church to sell, to make money for charities. She also entertained others at nursing homes with the Granny Band. Mary is survived by her daughters, Linda (Paul) Christian of Kent, and Roberta (Brian) McAlister of Perry; son, Daniel F. (Christine) Freeman of Port Isabel, TX.; grandchildren, Andrew & Aaron Christian, and Justin & Blake Freeman; great grandchildren, Ryan, Aaron Jr. and Courtney Christian; great-great grandchildren, Brayden and Aurora Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Freeman; parents, James F. and Mary (Gooding) Sullivan; sisters, Virginia Johnson and JoAnn Chapman.
