Robert (Bobby) Miller, Class of 1998

Robert Wayne Miller, Jr. passed away on November 22, 2016. Born October 19, 1979, he lost his battle of addiction due to a heroin overdose. He had been in and out of recovery for years, but at some point he took the "easier, softer way." Bobbie was sober for the past 10 months striving, working, being a son again, an uncle and a brother. His twin sister Sandy said, "We had him back, but as we are told in AA, 'One is too many and a thousand never enough.' He had so much more life to live. My heart is heavy that my brother chose to be an example of what heroin does, instead of being the example of what sobriety is by continuing his recovery." Bobby could always make you laugh with his crazy stories. He loved life. He carried a special bond with his mom and there was nothing he wouldn't do for his dad. He enjoyed dirt bikes, hunting, hiking, traveling, fishing with his cousins, camping, working on trucks with his dad, taking his nieces to the races, and spending time with his family, friends and his two cousins, Jimm and Kamber, who were more like brothers to him. He will be missed my many. Bobby is survived by his parents, Robert W. Miller, Sr. (Class of 1971) and Paula Osborne (Class of 1977); his twin sister, Sandy Miller (Class of 1998); grandparents, Gary and Mary Ann Osborne of West Virginia; niece, McKenzie Miller; cousins, Jimm Miller and Kamber Howlier; and many more cousins, aunts and uncles. He also leaves his girlfriend, Bobbi Kellhofer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Virgil and Genevieve Miller. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to his family.
